    Friends.

As you know, I’ve been in Hawai’i, working on Teach For America HI Staff for 2 weeks.

It’s amazing. The quality and level of commitment of the people here have to improving educational inequity in Hawai’i is outstanding.

    Some Quick Facts:

    • Hawai’is public education system ranks among the bottom 10 states by almost all measures.
    • Teach For America wants to bring more than 100 dedicated, excited corps members to serve more than13,500students.
    • Moving to Hawai’i is expensive.

If you’re out there, whoever you are, please, consider giving just a little bit of money to support education in Hawai’i and help the financial transition of our 2012 corps.

So many of us come out to here to experience the natural beauty, food, and culture of this place. Let’s give back to the families and communities that so lovingly host us on their magnificent island.
